Liquid Hand Soap - easy, simple and great
for the skin!
Liquid hand soap is no more difficult than
making regular soap. The only differnce is in
the type of lye used. For regular soap bars you
use sodium hydroxide and for liquid soap you use
potassium hydroxide. Below are two simple and
easy to make liquid soap recipes.
Two Liquid Soap Recipes
Follow this recipe as if you were making
regular soap in the blender, just switch out the
lye! No need for molds either - just pour
into plastic container to cure. After poured,
set aside and let cure for about two weeks.
After two weeks, you can thin the mixture with
water until you like the consistency. Now you
can add essential oils or fragrances and
mix together with a stick or regular blender.
Then simply pour into a pump or squeeze
container. Label and love it! Here are a few
recipes to get you started.
Recipe One:
Ingredients:
12 oz Palm Oil
6 oz coconut oil
2 oz Evening primrose or grapeseed oil
4.1oz POTASSIUM hydroxide
8 ounces water
Recipe Two:
Ingredients:
12 ounces Soybean oil
2 ounces Coconut Oil
2 ounces Palm Oil
2 ounces Avocado Oil
3.4 ounces POTASSIUM hydroxide
7.2 ounces water
Recipe Three
Ingredients:
2oz Palm Oil
4oz coconut oil
3.5oz POTASSIUM hydroxide
1 cup water
